Word This is an example of a Word assignment we did in class. In this example we create and modify a template document so you can send the same document to multiple different people. We had to create tables from an excel spreadsheet and modify the data within the table. Each letter sent has to be addressed to the proper person.
Reflection Now before taking this class I had taking an advanced spreadsheet application class from SLCC. I also work with word a lot at my job. Even though I have lots of experience with Microsoft Office I still learned a ton from this class. I had mainly worked with Office 2007, not 2010 and there are differences in the software. When I was entering this class I thought it was going to be a breeze and I was completely wrong. Now with my extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office I finished most of the assignments quickly, but this class has not been a cake walk. There was a lot ton of work that I put into this class. I have learned the most with Powerpoint. I have not used Powerpoint that much in my life. So I have been really learning a lot of how the program works. Learning unique transitions for each slide and each section of the slides willl be the most useful to me. I will use what I have learned in all three programs because I plan on going into accounting and business management. With both of these careers will use Excel extensively and I will use word and powerpoint throughout my career.

Excel This is an example of an Excel assignment we did in class. In this assignment we were calculating the top students in a certain class. We modified the design and table style of this worksheet. We also added formulas that used average, simple multiplication, and a formula that multiplied labeled sections. We also added some conditional formatting in the style of data bar in for the final grades of each student. We also sorted and filtered the data so that only the students that got above 89% in the class were shown. We also added a row total to count how many students met tthe sort and filter.
