About Me
Hello, My name is Derek Hartlauer. I am turning 24 years old on June 6th, 2010. I am working towards an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business at Salt Lake Community College. I work full-time as a production and accounting manager at Universal Signs in Salt Lake City. I like to work, but I am looking for something better in life than my job. I honestly believe the IRS would be a great job for me. I have many many hobbies in life. I have skied since I was 2 years old, I ski raced for 10 years of my life. I got to the FIS level of ski racing. I still ski a lot in the Wasatch Mountains in Utah. I would consider myself a local ski pro. In the summer time my sports are golfing and fishing. I have golfed since I can remember anything. I would love to have a career in golf. Being a director at a golf course would be a interesting job to me. As you can see in the picture below I am a huge fisherman. My father and I usually go to Canada to fish for large Northern Pike and Lake Trout. The picture below is a 34 pound Lake Trout caught in Flaming George, Utah. This same day I also caught a 32 pounder, which was part of a triple header with my father consisting of a two 24 pounders and my 32 pounder. The total weight was 80 pounds all at once. One of my other hobbies are cars, I used to be a mechanic. I used to build cars.  I would still build cars today, but I cannot justify spending my money on that while in college. Last one is I used to be a Salt Lake Graffiti artist. I have drawn all my life, I love to paint. I do not do it illegally, when I get a chance I paint boards in my backyard. I love to travel and hope to be able to retire early to golf, ski, fish, and build dope cars.
